Fancy dancing but want to bring a pal? Or already dance and want to introduce a friend? Then this class is for you! On Monday the 14th of July we will learn the forró essentials, immerse yourselves in something new, no experience needed! Just book one ticket and turn up with a friend!

About the event
If you have never danced before, or never heard of forró, then this is the evening for you!
The location is the amazing dance studio at Eastney Community Centre. We will be starting from the very beginning, building up your embrace, how to stand and hold your partner, the basic steps and rhythms, we will be covering aspects of the different styles of Forró and where they came from, the tools available within the dance to enable communication, techniques for both leading and following. We will focus on being able to build a simple sequence and dancing to the music.
Try something new with us! (If your friend bails you are still very welcome to come alone)
