About the event
If you have never danced before, or never heard of forró, then this is the course for you!
The location is the amazing dance studio at Eastney Community Centre. Join us for a transformative 5-week Forró Beginners Course in Portsmouth. Dive into the world of Forró, master the basics explore various techniques that you can use in your dance.
We will be starting from the very beginning, building up your embrace, how to stand and hold your partner, the basic steps and rhythms, we will be covering aspects of the different styles of Forró and where they came from, the tools available within the dance to enable communication, techniques for both leading and following. We will also focus on being able to build simple sequences, dancing to the music and repertoire growth.
